Can you explain to me what these ingredients mean?

Whey Protein Isolate:

Whey Protein Isolate is one of the purest forms of whey protein and has gone through some of the most extensive purifying methods to give you a powder with more protein per gram than most other forms available.

Alongside its fantastic amino acid profile, an isolate protein is more bio-readily available for your body to absorb. Its ease of absorption means you’ll be getting all those important grams of protein shuttled to your muscles as quickly as possible.

Stevia:

Stevia, also known as Stevia Rebaudiana is a plant located in the South American country of Paraguay and can, gram for gram, be up to 270 times sweeter than regular sugar. That’s pretty sweet!

When bought in shops, you’ll often see Stevia come in two forms, green and white. The reason for the different colour is due to the amount of the leaf which is used when it’s refined into the common product we see today.

Stevia is a fantastic sweetener as it boasts almost zero calories and is 100% natural. What this means is you get that great sweet taste without thinking of the damage it’ll do to your waste line.

Xantham Gum:

And finally, Xantham Gum. It sounds a little fishy, but it’s part of the Xanthomonas Campestris which is the naturally occurring bacteria which causes your broccoli and cauliflower to rot and turn to a black mush. However, don’t be put off.

To produce Xantham Gum, the Xanthomonas Campestris bacteria is allowed to ferment by being fed glucose. Once fermented, the properties of Xantham gum is then formed. The mixture is then heated up and purified to kill all the bacteria present. What’s left, is the perfectly safe and natural binding agent you see everywhere today.

Xantham Gum is used in a number of different food items, including ice cream, condiments, whipped cream and much, much more.

How should I use it?

We’re pleased you asked! Due to the fast acting protein, this powder is ideal for use straight after training. However, don’t let that stop you from using it whenever you like, we won’t tell.

Simply throw two heaped scoops (35g) into your Kettlebell Kitchen protein shaker and mix with 350-500ml of water. If you fancy a change of taste, replace the water with milk or your favourite plant based alternative.
